Leon I. Oetzel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leon I. Oetzel (Cedarburg, Wisconsin), who passed away on February 1, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Oetzel and William Oetzel; his wife Carol Oetzel; his son Larry; his daughter-in-law Chris Oetzel; and his brothers, Glenn and Myron Oetzel.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Oetzel and Doug Oetzel; his grandchildren, Amy Lee (Joe) and Bill Oetzel (Christina); his great grandchildren, Tom, Katie, David Lee, Addison and Delaney Oetzel; and his sister Jean Hirt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (701 Washington St, Grafton, WI 53024). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Leon wished all contributions be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church School, honoring Leon's passionate spirit for education.
