Imants Strautmanis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Imants Strautmanis of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 19, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Irena Zalevits; his children, Lauris, Maris and Rita; and his daughter-in-law Alisa.
He is survived by: his children, Rasma Barbee (Robert) and Sigurd Strautmanis; his daughter-in-law Thomasina Ringler; and his grandchildren, Henry (Max Barbee), Helena (Sven Marnauzs), Uve (Anna Strautmanis) and Lauris Strautmanis. He is also survived by his parents, his youngest brother and his two sisters.
Per Imants directive, a private graveside service will be held with immediate family pursuant to Andrew Cuomo's COVID-19 funeral guidelines, which he supported and agreed with.
In lieu of flowers, Imants asked that donations be made to the National Park Foundation, supporting the National Parks he so loved.
