He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Kathleen; his grandson George; his siblings, Joseph, Earnest, Richard and Mary; his daughters, Elizabeth Steinike (Michael), Mary Freeman (Daniel) and Dianne Budd-Kriegel (David); his grandchildren, Erik, Justin, Lindsey, Benjamin, Samantha, Elizabeth, Sylvia, Rachel and Henry; his great grandchildren, Sophia, Matalyn and Wyatt; and his parents, Joseph Barela and Eulalia Barela.
He is survived by: his siblings, Raymond and Faith. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Rd, Cedarburg, WI 53012). A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
