He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Banaszynski and Evelyn Banaszynski (Blaser); his wife Sandra Krueger; his son Ben "Jay" (Anne); his grandchildren, Kelly and Jeremy; and his siblings, Mona, Doey and Ray.

He is survived by: his daughter Lyn Banaszynski (Michael Hogan); his grandson Jason; his daughter Dawn Banaszynski (Dan Hintz); his grandchildren, Nicci and Daylee; his daughter Lauralee Banaszynski (Wayne Buelow); his grandchildren, Amanda (Donny), Austin, Misty Reed (Brad) and Kevin Banaszynski (Megan); his siblings-in-law, Marlene Krueger and Gene Krueger (Diane); and his close friends, Larry and Mary Rosmer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
