She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Tomes and Patricia Tomes (Smith); her former husband Fred Petersen; and her siblings, Claudia Harkins and Ron Tomes.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Petersen (Sue) of Fond; her husband Richard Thusius of Cecil; her granddaughter Mya Petersen (Lac) of Fond; and her sisters, Victoria Hahn (Bob) of Grafton and Theresa "Terry" Krueger of Oconomowoc. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Amy also founded and organized the Alzheimer's Fall Fashion Show and the Ms. Senior Homemaker Pageant.
