He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Carroll and John Carroll; his siblings, Gerry, Shirlee and John (Adeline); and his daughter-in-law Becky.
He is survived by: his wife Adeline Goetzen; his children, Daniel Carroll (Becky) of Chandler, Michael Carroll (Lorie) of Park Ridge, Richard Carroll (Ann) of Hixson and Patti McCormick (Chris) of Farmington; and his niece Kathleen Collimore (Robert) of Elgin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
