He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Stein and Donna Stein; and his stepmother Carole Stein. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dempsey; his children, Phillip Stein and Heather Stein Waggoner; his grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Waggoner; his sisters, Diane Foglesong (Robert) and Marsha Barker (Marlin); his nieces, Melissa King and Christina Thale (Steve); and his brother Frank Tricia (Debbie).
