It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lou Ann Backenkeller of Cassville, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oliver Smith and Mellie Smith (Fisher); her children, Connie Backenkeller, Kelly Koca and Kim Backenkeller (Julie); her grandchildren, Amy, Michael (Shelly), Haley (Jonah), Derry (Abby), Ross, Evan and Avalon; her great grandchildren, Tanner, Owen, Kyli, Soleil and Pippa; and her husband Richard.
The introduction of television, wars, the Great Depression, battles for Civil rights, technology/computers, cell phones and this pandemic just to name a few!
