It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Roger Peterson (Cashton, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 4, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brothers, Laverne "Ole" Peterson (Connie) and Arnold "Tubes" Peterson. He is survived by: his daughter Esther; his grandchild West; his wife Esther; his children, Roger Peterson (Sheila), Marc Peterson (Nancy), Scott Peterson, Marlus Schmitz (Kenny), Michael Peterson (Talia) and Karin Hansen (John); his grandchildren, Hannah Peterson (Tyler) and Grant Hansen (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Beau, Decklynn, Kenzie, Elijah, Abigail, Jeremiah Gjefle, Caleb Peterson, Mike Kaufmann, Tom Peterson (Esther), Elizabeth Peterson, Logan, Kelsey, Dan, Anna Peterson, Taylor Fleming (Branden), Katelyn, Matthew Schmitz, Ezra, Thor, Gideon, Hogun and Iain; his grandchildren, Joshua Peterson, Karina, Daisy, Brady and Molly Hansen; and his siblings, Pearl Bauman (Bruce) and Eugene Peterson (Linda). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, Pete's family has requested that memorials be given to Brush Creek Lutheran Church in his memory.
