He was predeceased by: his father Joseph; his siblings, Elizabeth Leis and Charles Leis; and his brother-in-law Ralph Clements. He is survived by: his wife MaryAnn; his children, Jeffrey Leis (Karen) of Cashton, Jerome Leis (Lori) of Cashton, Jean McCoy (Jeff) of Cashton and Robert Leis (Norma) of Cashton; his grandchildren, Jackie Pederson (Jared), Jason Leis (Heather), Emily Ronke (Corey), Jessica Mlsna (Tyler), Michael Schreier (Trisha), Esden Schreier (Danielle), Danielle and Ethan Leis; his great grandchildren, Payten, Braden Pedersen, Riley, Lincoln, Rylan, Zoe, Porter Mlsna, Brody, Oaklie Schreier, Ty and Harper Schreier; his sister Joanne Clements; and his sister-in-law Alrita Leis. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Due to the Covid-19 virus and social distancing guidelines; a private family Mass of Christian Burial is being planned for Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
