He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence N. Schauer and Genevieve M. Schauer (Simon); his stepdaughter Sharyl Slack; his brothers-in-law, Glenn Francken and Michael Callahan; and his close friend Dan Kaye.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his sisters, Lois Freix (Jack), Janet Francken and Mary Callahan; his stepchildren, Jackie Kraemer (Dan) and Michael Kolar; his niece Erin Callahan; his pet Sadey; and his nephews, Kevin Francken and Patrick Callahan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
