He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Guess and Ferne Guess (Flentye); his wife Joanne E. Mergen; his son-in-law Mike Rusch; his father-in-law Peter Mergen (Loraine); and his siblings-in-law, Jane Meeker, Sue Mergen and Dennis Meeker.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Rusch of Camp Douglas and Bill Guess of Des Moines, IA; his grandchild Taylor Bennett (Brandon); his great grandchild Tala of Camp Douglas, WI.; his grandchildren, Ryan Fisher (Danny Darlington) of Camp Douglas, WI. and Brady Fisher of Camp Douglas, WI.; his cousin Barb Bender (Dave); and his brothers-in-law, Paul Mergen (Cheri) of Madison and Carl Mergen of Bloomington, WI.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his fur buddy.
