It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James J. Olson of Camp Douglas, Wisconsin, born in Mauston, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 14, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Olson and Gladys Olson (Kish); and his wife Kathleen Olson. He is survived by: his children, Brian Olson (Katie Kopplin) of Camp Douglas and Jamie Elsing (Dustin) of New Lisbon; his sister Jelaine Mochenbacher (John) of Camp Douglas; and his grandchildren, Caitlin Kikta (Matt), Sadie, Rylie Olson, Connor Stauff and Charlotte Brahmer. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Lutheran Church (215 Douglas St, Camp Douglas, WI 54618). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
