He was predeceased by: his parents, Gale Yackels and Ester Yackels (Kitzman); his wife Harriett Schroeder On; and his siblings, Mildren Clark, Marion Wilbretcht and Donald Yackels.
He is survived by: his daughter Gwen Kammer (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Ashley Kammer and Jameson Kammer (Jennie Doering); and his daughter Susan Yackels of Cambridge. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
