He is survived by: his children, Aaron Robert (Ellen), Paden James and Delaney Barbara; his wife Peggy Braaksma; his son Abe (Amber); his grandchildren, Lydia, Heidi, Dexter, Bo, Blake, David and Charlie; his great grandchild Finn; his siblings, Bob (Ruth), Joan, Jane, Dan, Paul, Charlie (Terry), Ruthie, Anne (John), Greg, Andrew, Peter and Stacey; and his niece Lorelei Cavazos.
