She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wiersma and Jennie Wiersma (Wynsma); her husband Sam Leystra; and her siblings, Henry, James, Willard, William Jr., Howard, Charles, Robert, Alice Evans, Mary Becker, Shirley Krueger and Dorothy Whitrock.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Wingers (Daniel) of Cambria, Janice Clooten (Rodney) of Lodi, James Leystra (Janine Godfriaux), Barbara Marquardt (Steven) of Cambria, Mary Jones (Douglas) of Cambria and John Leystra (Gloria) of Cambria; her siblings, Catherine Pixler, Linda Neuman, Larry Wiersma (Crystal), Harvey Wiersma (Lana) and Joyce Henderson (Gordon); and her sisters-in-law, Linda Wiersma and Carol Wiersma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church of Cambria or the Cambria-Friesland Historical Society.
