He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Schroeder and Ada Schroeder (Diersen); his siblings, Duane and Bernice; his brother-in-law Robert Wiegman; his nephew Allyn Kohlmeyer; his nephew-in-law Tim Viner; his great-nephews, Peter and Paul Barney; his sibling Eloyse; his nephews, Terry and Randy Asmus; and his nephew-in-law Richard Meyer.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Andrea) of Caledonia, Gina of Caledonia, Daniel (Sheila) of Caledonia and Ryan of Caledonia; his grandchildren, Rebeckah of Caledonia, Miranda of Caledonia, Dylan of Caledonia, Sara Bullerman (Robert) of Caledonia, Carson of Caledonia and Mick of Caledonia; his wife Muriel; and his sisters, Marilyn Grob (Gary) and Sandy Wiegman. He is also survived by 20 nieces, nephews.
