He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz and Adelaide; his wife Carol; his sons, Stephen and Theodore James Johnson; and his daughters-in-law, Luann and Carolyn Johnson.
He is survived by: his sons, Frederick Johnson (Cristina) of Virginia Beach, VA and David Johnson (Donna) of Racine; his grandchildren, Isabella, Beth, Renata, Frederick "Fritz", Christopher, Samantha, Michael and Louie; his great grandchildren, Tim, Max, Luca and Elisa; and his sister-in-law Marion Olson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Evangelical Lutheran Church have been suggested by the family.
