He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Tessmer and Adeline Tessmer (Heinz); his sister Marian Houge; his brother-in-law Merlin Dehning; and his nephews, Rick Dehning and Terry Tessmer.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Thomford; his sons, Michael and Mike; his siblings, Lois Dehning and Eugene (Janice); and his parents-in-law, Maxine, Marlen Kruckow, Shirley, Ted Lee, Marilyn and Duane Thomford. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
