He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Fruechte and Ella Fruechte; his sisters, Eloyse Asmus and Muriel Schroeder; his brothers-in-law, Ray Asmus and Glen Schroeder; and his nephews, Terry Asmus and Randy Asmus.
He is survived by: his friend Maynard Welscher; his wife Elizabeth Yehle (Liz); his children, Steve (Linda) of Caledonia and Kay Paulson (Michael) of Spring Grove; his grandchildren, Phillip Paulson of St Paul, MN and Katrina Paulson of Spring Grove; and his brothers, Vernon Fruechte (Naomi), Neil Fruechte (Sharon) and Lawrence Fruechte (Judy).
