He was predeceased by: his parents, William Goettl and Eleanor Goettl (LeDuc); his son-in-law David Dean Bergman; his siblings, Robert Goettl, Marietta Arneson and Anna Moss; his brothers-in-law, Robert Dachel, Wallace Moss, David Suvada and Marvin Klatt; and his nieces and nephews, Wanda Goettl, Joni Peterson, Phillip Arneson and Jacob Dachel.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Goettl; his children, Bryan Goettl and Amy Bergman; his grandchildren, David Donald Bergman, Nathan Bergman, Brittney Denny, Joseph Goettl and Carly Goettl; his great grandchildren, David Dean Lee Bergman, Danabelle Bergman, Regan Bergman and River Bergman; his siblings, Tony Goettl (Ann), William Goettl (Tina), Marcy Klatt (Fred), Eva Horel (William), Loretta Iverson (John), Priscilla Suvada, Elaine Miller (Wayne), Donna Peterson (James) and Mavis Klatt; and his brother-in-law Durwood Arneson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
