He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Schofield and Anna Schofield (Ploman); his daughter Violet Holtman; his grandson Bradley Phillippi; his sons-in-law, James Phillippi and Mark McGregor; and his siblings, Joanne Ehrney, Marvin, Donald, Edward, Clarence and Wilbert Schofield.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Schofield; his children, Vernon Schofield (Cathy Shilts), Barbara Pecha (Gilbert) and Debora McGregor; his son-in-law Randy Holtman; and his sister-in-law Emily Schofield. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren.
