He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Johnny Sawicki and Eleanor Wasielewski Sawicki; his wife Karen Bailey Sawicki; his daughters, Tracy Jiskra (Joe) and Rachel Moe (Brandon); his grandson Matthew "Mac" Sawicki (Trish); and his sister Kathleen "Kitty" Sawicki Sladek. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
