He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Leo Yeager (Dorothy) and Clarence Ackley (Ardis); his uncle Gary Ackley; his mother-in-law Gladys Gaylord-Jones; and his grandparent-in-law Blair Steffen (Florence).
He is survived by: his parents, Wayne "Mike" Ackley and Jane Ackley (Yeager); his wife Nicole; his children, Tia Knoll, Jacen Knoll, Asher Ackley and Camille Knoll; his brother-in-law Joel Steffen (Gwen); his nephews, Eric Steffen (Cassie) and Brandon Steffen; his aunts and uncles, Kathleen Greene, Judith Weiland (Steve), Tom Yeager (Debbie), Kenneth Yeager, Donna Elstran (Chris), Carolyn Bourget (Dennis), Daniel Yeager (Julie), Virginia Yeager (Tim Roshell) and Curtis F. Ackley (Bonnie); and his cousin Ron Ackley. He is also survived by many cousins, relatives and friends.
Even at the end of his life, he was able to help two people receive the gift of sight through the donation of his corneas.
