He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Reverend Reuben R. Elliker and Bertha Graber Elliker; his wife Carol; his brothers, John Elliker and Bernard Elliker (Colleen); and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Kerlin (Barbara) and Marilyn Paolisso (Harry). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be directed to the Cable United Church of Christ or Cable Namakagon Historical Museum or Forest Lodge Library or Hayward Regional Hospice.
