He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hanks and Doris Hanks (Meeker); and his siblings, William, George Hanks, Lois Stone, Ruth Ibsen and Margaret English.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene; his children, David Hanks (Laurie) of Cable, WI, Thomas Hanks (Katie) of Cable, WI, Kari Bjork (Tim) of Cable, WI, Judy Hinman (Dan) of Cable, WI and Cheryl Hanks-Sinecki (Dan) of St. Peters, MO; and his brothers, Robert Hanks of Charlotte, NC, Paul Hanks (Jane) of Wallingford, CT, Alan Hanks (Nancy) of East Greenbush, NY and Jeffrey Hanks (Evelyn) of Georgetown, TX. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four of great grandchildren.
