Marlyn E. Fisher Obituary
Of Butler.
Passed away on October 24, 2023, at age 88. Loving husband of 65 years to Patricia (nee Butcher).
Beloved father of the late Lori Grabarczyk, Warren, Carol (Paul) Bailey, the late Karen, and Angela Ruh. Grandfather of Jeremy Grabarczyk, Katie (James) Maas, Mandi Ruh (Asher Rosenberg), Meagan Bailey, and Josiah Bailey. Great-grandfather of Seth Kott, Shane Rosenberg, Lorelei Maas, and Layla Maas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Jane (Peebles) Fisher; Brother Robert Fisher.
Marlyn was very proud of his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with all of his children and always said if he could have 5 more, he would have.
Marlyn proudly served four years in the United States Navy. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a past commander of the Butler American Legion Post.
He spent 28 years on the Butler Police Department and served as Chief for 9 years. Even though being a Police officer was his job, he was always on duty, even when on vacation, he would be called to duty. He was always happy to help even whenever he was called upon.
He graduated from the FBI academy in 1976.
Marlyn was also a Fire and Arson investigator for Butler Fire Dept. after retiring from the Police Dept.

Visitation will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt – Menomonee Falls on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 4pm until time of Funeral Service at 6pm. Burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
