He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Getka and Vesta Getka; his in-laws, Thomas Oliver and Juanita Curtis; and his brothers, Vincent Getka, Timothy McLafferty, Ronald Gernay and Daniel (Olive McNeff).
He is survived by: his wife Leola Curtis; his children, Jane Kissee of Stockdale, Judith Kerkhoff (Kenneth II) of Burlington and Jay Getka (Suzanne) of Kenosha, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeffrey Kissee, Ryan, Emma Getka, Paige, Kenneth Kerkhoff III (Trey), Leanna, Matthew and Scott Kissee; his sisters, Mary McLafferty and Barbara Bloss; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Getka and Elizabeth Gernay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Slades Corners, WI or Burlington United Methodist Church.
