Romayne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Lois and Cordella Lois; her husband Roger H. Degen; her sons, Robert and Jeffrey Degen; and her brothers, Charles, Stanley and Thomas Lois.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy Pieters (Greg) and Donald Degen (Diane); and her grandchildren, Sarah Steele (Matt), Ashley Schramm (Aaron), Kyle Pieters (Kelsey), Eric Pieters (Becca), Kristen Pichler (Dave) and Brian Degen. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home (625 Browns Lake Dr, Burlington, WI 53105). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (108 McHenry St, Burlington, WI 53105). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
