She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin and Hazel; and her siblings, Roger Williams and Linda Brinkmann. She is survived by: her husband James L. Oertel; her children, Daniel Oertel and LeAnn Oertel; her grandson Eric Oertel (Justine); her great grandchildren, Kaiyah and Judah; her siblings, Jeannie Thoreson, Bonnie Aune, Marvin Williams (Kathy), Bill Williams (Shirley), Tom Williams (Kathy) and David Williams (Beverly); and her extended family, Jennifer and Jim Boerger.
She also served as a volunteer with the LaCrosse area RSVP and as the editor of her work-related newspapers.
