He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth Koehnke and Ann Koehnke; his son Karl Edwin Koehnke; his grandson Reed Koehnke Loppnow; his stepfathers, Wallace Subrod and Leon "Pete" Bender; his brothers, Donald Koehnke and Ellsworth "Bud" Koehnke; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Kay Koehnke, Egan Rachel and Cleo Sydow.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Rachel; his children, Rachel Loppnow (Mike), Heidi Tiedt and Theodore Koehnke (Jody); and his grandchildren, Dane, Karl Loppnow, Cru Stubley (Hannah Peschak), Hegeman (Arianna), Malik, Ezekiel, Porter Tiedt, RaeLee, Zayne and Brecker Koehnke.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Church.
