He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. S. H. Wolter and Rosemary; and his sibling Thomas H. Wolter. He is survived by: his siblings, James F. Wolter (Jacqueline), Maryann Paulus (David) and Daniel Wolter (Elizabeth); and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Wolter. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces, other relatives, and dear friends.

“Hello, I am one of the residents from St. Rita Square, and a group of us used to enjoy dinners with John Peter when he still lived with us. Several of us also enjoyed playing Sheepshead with him. Our residents have been holding resident-led Memorial Services for residents who have died for more than a year. We would like to plan such a service for John Peter on 2/27/23 from 7-8 pm. Would any family member like to attend? Can someone share a favorite prayer, hymn, poem that we could include? TY”
