It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Caroline Wanasek of Burlington, Wisconsin, born in Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" and Irma Wishau; her husband Robert Wanasek; her brother Jay Wishau; her daughter Kathryn "Kay" Nash; and her grandson Gabriel Lerner.
She is survived by: her children, Brian Wanasek (Diane) and Jenny Wanasek (Mark Weinberg); her son-in-law Dave Nash (Ann); her grandchildren, Christopher Wanasek, Elizabeth Rothe, Katie Fahey, Sarah Smith, Thomas Nash, Geneva Lerner and Arielle Weber; and her great grandchildren, Scarlett Wanasek, Eliza Wanasek, William Wanasek, Maddie Weber, Calvin Weber, Oliver Rothe, Milo Rothe, Lydia Fahey, Nora Fahey, Ethan Smith, Juliann Smith, Katy Jo Nash, Frederick Nash, David Nash, Bruce Nash and Elizabeth Nash.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Burlington Garden Club and the Chiwaukee Prairie Preservation Fund Private services will be held.
