She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Scherrer and Agnes Scherrer (Elverman); her husband Richard; her daughter Karen Peterson (Greg); and her siblings, Charlotte, Elmer, Norman, Thomas, Joseph and Patrick.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Strohm (Erica), Gary Strohm (Mary), Kathy Vos (Larry), Richard Strohm (Nadeen) and Diane Biedrzycki (Brian); and her siblings, Barbara Scherrer, Marlene Scherrer, Ed Scherrer, Carolyn Bauman (Jim) and Kathy Bryant. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in Joan's memory to St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington.
