He was predeceased by: his father Bernard "Red" Smith; and his brother-in-law George Cocroft. He is survived by: his children, Corinne Leiva (Lance), Clayton Smith and Kyle Smith (Kate); his grandchildren, Weston Smith, Mason Defiore, Sloane Smith, June Leiva and Maverick Leiva; his sisters, Cindy Carlson (Lee), Nancy McCourt (Todd) and Candy Cocroft (Dave Loughrey); and his child Mickey Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
