He is survived by: his son James "JJ" Jr. (Aubrey); his grandsons, Landon and Easton; his siblings, William Jacobs, Thomas Jacobs and Peggy Clark (Robert); and his niece Courtney Halverson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
