She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank DeKeyser and Laura DeKeyser (Bouchonville); her husband Lloyd Vandertie; her brother Myron DeKeyser; her brother-in-law Patrick Vandertie; and her nephew Gary Vandertie.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Paplham (Brian), Christopher Vandertie (Sharon Landweher) of Brussels, Curt Vandertie (Sarah) of Brussels and Cory Vandertie (Stephanie) of Brussels; her grandchildren, Jason Thor (Jessica), Hunter Paplham (Haley Salzsieder), Dennis Vandertie, Crystal Vandertie (Paul Robertoy), Landon, Lillian Vandertie, Danny Vandertie and Baby Vandertie; her great grandchildren, Kayla, Kimberly Robertoy, Chloe, Kyle Taylor, Hayden, Scarlett Thor and Blake Maccoux; her sisters-in-law, Betty DeKeyser-Hill and Rose Mae Vandertie; her nieces and nephews, Judy Olson, Jane Jorgenson, Dean Vandertie, Jerry, Joe and John DeKeyser; her close friend Jim Linzmeier; her friends, Ellen Mommaerts and Jim Vandertie; and also Mildred Deprey. She is also survived by her four children.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in memory of Joyce is being established.
