It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Tuura of Brule, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Tuura and Lydia Tuura (Koski); his son Dale Tuura; his granddaughter Alyssa Mischke; his great grandchildren, Dylan Ollanketo, Alyssa Raivala and Viona Steger; and his siblings, Norma Lind, Willard, Eugene and Norman Tuura.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Tuura (Johnson); his children, Debra Ollanketo (Mike) of Marengo, WI, Ricky Tuura (Doris) of Oulu, WI, Jody Tuura of Superior, Brenda Nelson (Ernie) of Hastings, MN, Dennis Tuura of Brule, WI and Melissa Tuura-Johnson (Peter) of Somerset, WI; his daughter-in-law Jayne Tuura of Oulu; and his sister Mary Ann Gronquist of South Range. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was known for his massive, "guess-how-big-it-is" pumpkins, which he donated to local schools.
