He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Verner Tyykila (Swen) and Laura Tyykila (Karna) of Maple, Wisconsin.; his former wife Sandy Sedin; his wife Diana Tyykila (Johnson); his daughters, Laurie Garay (Dan) of Lake Nebagamon, WI and Kelly Tyykila of Superior, WI; his stepchildren, Julie Rodriguez (Juan) of Fernley, NV, Darrin Johnson (Annette) of South Range, WI, Christopher Johnson of Port Wing, WI and Jeremie Johnson (Amy) of Green Bay, WI.; his sisters, Myrna Heckman (Wilbert) of Stewartsville, MO, Darlene Nevin (Tim) of Poplar, WI, Donna Lambert (Mark) of Amery, WI, Jayne Tuura (Marvin Kittleson) of Oulu, Cheryle Jardine (Keith) of Poplar, WI and Janine Carlson (Gary) of Brule, WI.; his siblings-in-law, Randy Johnson (Julie) of Iron River, WI, Kaye Johnson of Iron River, WI and Doris Johnson of Wawautosa, WI.; his grandchildren, Lindsay Doescher (Michael) of Wausau, WI, Ryan Garay (Mikala) of Lake Nebagamon, WI, Justin Hase of Superior, WI and Jaidyn Hase of Superior, WI; his great grandchildren, Broden Garay and Briggs Garay of Lake Nebagamon, WI.; his aunts, Bertha Mikkola of Maple and Mary Ann Lahti (Iron River) of Oulu; his stepgrandchildren, Christian, Luke, Nicolas, Kristopher, Anthony, Calyndria, Kieran, Emmett, Aleck and Linnea; his nieces, Katie Graveson, Lindsey Dietrich and Jenna Steger; his brother Denny Tyykila; his parents-in-law, Arne Johnson (Walt) and Ailie Johnson; his brothers-in-law, Larry Johnson and Ronald Johnson (Cook); his son-in-law Ken Hase; his mother-in-law Laura Sedin; and his brother-in-law David Sedin. He was also cherished by two daughters, six sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
He fought valiantly to remain on this earth, but it wasn't meant to be, and ultimately, he died from an aggressive cancerous tumor in his liver with complications of COVID.
