He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Briggs and Valeria Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Joann "Sis" Twohig; his children, Douglas Briggs (Anna) of Star Prairie and Jacqueline Briggs of Eau Claire; his grandchildren, John L. Briggs, Paige Briggs and Cortney Briggs; his great grandchildren, Esme and Crue; and his sister-in-law Kay Kohlman. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
