He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Strassman and Cyrena Strassman (Wetzel); his brothers, Allan, Roger and Gordon; his siblings-in-law, David Gerth and Carol Prost; and his nephews, Randy and Allan Strassman.
He is survived by: his wife Grace E. Gerth; his sons, Brian Steger (Anne) of St. Lawrence and Paul Strassman (Julie) of Brownsville; and his brothers, Art Strassman of Texas and Neil Strassman (Claudia) of St. Killian. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
