He is survived by: his mother Betty Merkes (Look); his wife Lori; his sons, Cody Merkes (Alma), Seth Merkes and Luke Merkes; his grandchild Duke Merkes; and his siblings, Sheryl Motiff (Michael) and David Merkes (Beth). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
