He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rowland and Flossie Rowland (Bawden); his wife Helen M. Meyers (Wis); and his siblings, Thomas, Merle, Earl, Orlin, David, Robert, Evelyn, Pearl, Florence, Hazel and Ruth.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Rowland (Rose Doucette) and Laureen Handy (Ralph Handy); his grandchildren, Charlie Rowland (Paige), Elijah and Sophia Handy (Evan Mickey); his great grandchild Wayne Mickey; and his sisters, Betty Jones and Ardith Demontigny.
