He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl A. Schultz and Margaret Schultz (Rhyner); his parents-in-law, Ivan and Jeanette Legler; his nephew Heath Aaron Salisbury; and his brother-in-law Kevin Legler.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his daughters, Crystal Viney (John), Connie Schultz, Candee Christen (Jay) and Cindy Wimmer (Michael); his grandchildren, Joshua Viney (Kelley), Ashley Radunzel (Robert), Erica Kypreos (Sean), Jessica Hoelker (Ryan), Meagan Christen (Rob Leisher), Lauren Christen (Bryce Anderson), Evan Christen (Lily McMahan), Madelyn, Evelyn and Adam Wimmer; his great grandchildren, Noah Viney, Gwendolyn Radunzel, Peyton, Addison, Easton, Harrison Kypreos and Blake Lauren; and his siblings-in-law, Butch Legler, Marie Salisbury (Brian), Donnie Legler, Debra Snyder and Lisa Legler.

Any memorial contributions will go towards a bench at Roselawn Memorial Park.
