We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2025, at the age of 87, Wayne Virgil Avery (Brookfield, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Wayne Virgil may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wayne Virgil touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Avery and Pauline Avery; his children, Linda and Scott Avery; his brother Neil; and his siblings-in-law, Laverne Avery, Gary and Bernice Schwalbe.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. Schwalbe; his child Glenn Avery (Michele); and his child-in-law Gay Avery. He is also survived by 1 niece, 2 nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Harder Funeral Home (18700 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53045). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
