Miriam Ruth left this world on November 17, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl W. Hagemeyer and Mildred I. Hagemeyer (Winterhoff); her husband Albert Kaptain; her daughter Korine Kaptain; and her brother Lyndal Hagemeyer.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Kaptain of Hartford, WI and Karen Ackerman-Frisby of Germantown, OH; her grandchildren, Arica Frisby, Adam Ackerman, Kyle Kaptain and Katie Young (Kaptain); and her great grandchildren, Leonardo Estrella-Frisby, Nova Estrella-Frisby, Ivy Young and Horatio Ackerman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (207 Adams St, Port Clinton, OH 43452). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Catawba Island Historical Society.
