It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mariam Ruth Kaptain in Brookfield, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl W. Hagemeyer and Mildred I. Hagemeyer (Winterhoff); her husband Albert Kaptain; her daughter Korine Kaptain; and her brother Lyndal Hagemeyer.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Kaptain of Hartford, WI and Karen Ackerman-Frisby of Germantown, OH; her grandchildren, Arica Frisby, Adam Ackerman, Kyle Kaptain and Katie Young (Kaptain); and her great grandchildren, Leonardo Estrella-Frisby, Nova Estrella-Frisby, Ivy Young and Horatio Ackerman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (207 Adams St, Port Clinton, OH 43452). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to the Catawba Island Historical Society.
