With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Marie (Sanders) McCaffrey (Brookfield, Wisconsin), born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on December 27, 2023 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vianne Sanders and Edward Sanders. She is survived by: her siblings, Edward (Gretchen), John (Victoria), Patricia (Jerome), Jean (Angel) and Thomas; her uncle Michael; her nephew Graham; and her great-nephew David. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Joan believed in supporting her local communities and often gave to charity, "for it is in giving that we receive.". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations most meaningful to her: Hunger Task Force (https://www.hungertaskforce.org), The Women's Center, or the Zoological Society of Milwaukee. Those attending are also invited to bring a favorite children's book (new or used), which will be donated to The Women's Center in Waukesha, WI.
