With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janis Jean Quest Johnson of Brookfield, Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2024 at the age of 72. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent John; her siblings, Michael Gross, Alexis Swindler (Tracy) and Daniel Gross (Brenda); her children, Rachel Quest Schmidt, Michele Quest Layne (James) and Matthew (Pauline); her parent Dennis Quest; her husband Dr. James Johnson; her stepsons, John Johnson (Brooke) and Joe Johnson (Kari Reinke); her grandchildren, Natalie, Allison, Olivia Schmidt, Sean Balistreri, Madison, Ryan Quest, Stella, Wyatt Johnson, Jocelyn, Abram Johnson, Yellowstone National Park and Peyton Lilly Quest; and her close friend Marie Hocken.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jan's name to the South Wood County Humane Society.
