Glenn Irving Pentler Obituary
Anyone who came in contact with Glenn remembers his friendly smile, bright blue eyes, and the attentiveness he gave to everyone. He was born to Eternal Life on Monday, June 24, 2024. Age 71.
Glenn Irving Pentler was born, June 5, 1953, to Irving and Marcelene Pentler in Milwaukee and spent his childhood in Elm Grove. Glenn was a proud graduate of Marquette University High School, Marquette University, and Marquette Law School - schools which embody his values of education, integrity, work ethic, loyalty, and faith.
Glenn joined Uptown in 1978 and drove the business to include Lincoln, Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles at locations in Wauwatosa and Slinger. Though he had a great appreciation for automobiles, he truly enjoyed helping people. He cherished the relationships he developed with his coworkers and looked forward to visits from his multigenerational Uptown customers.
Family was always the focal point of Glenn's life. He is loved and cherished by his wife of 46 years, Kathy (nee Murphy). He mentored and loved his sons John, Mark (Kali), and Steven (Sarah), as well as his grandchildren Andrew, Colin, Meara, Jake, Oliver, Dawson, & Jillian. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Cheryl (Bob) Doherty and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Marcelene Pentler; his brother, Keith and his sister, Linda.
Glenn adored walking, boating, and keeping good company in Door County & Florida. At home he delighted in growing his favorite flowers, crafting the straightest lines possible with a lawn mower, and reprimanding the squirrels on his birdfeeder.
